As anyone selling a 'mid-bracket' property will tell you this is the market worse hit by the recession of 2008 and the more so in typically 'slow' areas such as the Caribbean. I had my property on the market with local agents for well over a year and ,not only did I not receive any enquiries during that time, the level of marketing and dynamism of these local agents was both pathetic and extremely frustrating. This is in marked contrast to The Grenadines Collection!
Almost at my wits end I was contacted by Meg Crosthwaite of The Grenadines Collection who felt that they could be of benefit to me in selling my individual non-typical Caribbean property. From the outset I found Meg, Alan and the 'Grenadines' team to be approachable, knowledgeable, informed, dynamic, co-operative, flexible and professional in their dealings with me and my product. Meg would always make herself available for consultation, discussion, brain storming, suggestions, ideas or just plain listening. And that for me was one of the most important factors in my enjoyable and successful relationship with The Grenadines Collection – their willingness to both listen to and 'hear' what I had to say.
I felt able to trust them implicitly to deal with any co-brokerages/sub-agents knowing that they would be consistent and conscientious in their contact with, and gentle pressure applied to, those parties. In addition I felt reassured that my property was receiving international marketing that was above and beyond anything local agents could, or were willing to, offer even when they had, so called, tie-ins with UK based international agents such as Hamptons, Knight Frank, etc. In addition I could always rely on a positive response to any and all requests to coordinate and adjust contracts, etc.
As mentioned above my property was not typically 'sun, sea and sand' and thus hard to market but I was thrilled with the marketing approach of The Grenadines team, not least in the re-branding and subsequent development of both a fantastic dedicated web site and downloadable brochure. They were also able to procure features, including double page spreads, in property magazines which is something only a dedicated team is able to achieve unless you, the seller, are able, and willing, to spend a disproportionate fortune in advertising to achieve a similar result.
All in all my dealing with The Grenadines Collection was a thoroughly positive experience and I would, without reservation, recommend them to anyone wishing to sell their Caribbean property.
